Dr. Roger McCartney

Dr. McCartney grew up in Basset, Nebraska. Dr. McCartney completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State. He was awarded the Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry where he graduated with honors. Dr. McCartney is a member of the North Loup Lions Club, American Optometric Association, Nebraska Optometric Association. He has been in practice in Ord since 1975 and participates in various programs to enhance the visual welfare of our youth such as See To Learn, Infant See, and See to Read. As a member of the State Board of Examiners in Optometry for 11 years he had the opportunity to not only welcome new Optometrists into our state but to help protect the visual welfare of Nebraskans. Dr. McCartney’s interests include travel and spending time at the lake.

Dr. Brandon Blair

Dr. Blair grew up in Benkelman, Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate studies at Doane College. Dr. Blair was awarded the Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry where he graduated with honors. Dr. Blair is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nebraska Optometric Association. Dr. Blair specializes in helping people with low vision. He also travels to several of the area nursing homes to provide eyecare to people that cannot travel. Dr. Blair's interests outside of the office include golfing, spending time at the lake, and spending time with his family. Dr. Blair and his wife, Holly, have a daughter named Britan and sons named Bronson and Brody.

Bonnie McCartney, CPO
Bonnie has been with Professional Eyecare since 1975 serving patients in the North Loup Valley. As marketing coordinator it is Bonnies goal to educate patients on the importance of quality eyecare as it relates to their visual health. Professional eyecare provides a wide variety of services and Bonnie is always happy to explain the new technology we utilize. Bonnie helps coordinate regular education for the Doctors and staff to ensure that our patients receive the latest techniques.

Charlene Young, CPO
Charlene is a Certified Paraoptometric and is trained in patient care and optical dispensing. Charlene is our "Team Leader" in our Loup City Office, but she does join our Ord "Team" on a regular basis. Her knowledge of the latest technology in lens design as well as the latest styles in frames makes Charlene a valuable source on advice when it comes to the design of your eyewear. She has had extensive training and certification in the area of Computer Lenses, Progressive Lenses, and Sun Lens technology. She is always happy to help you with your eyewear needs.

	Thom Backus Thom has previous ABO certification and has a wealth of knowledge in optics with over 45 years of experience in the optical field. Through education programs and training he stays current on the latest in Lens design and technology. Not all lenses are the same, Thom has the knowledge to help you design a lens to enhance your vision. Broken frames can be a problem but Thom is an expert in finding a way to repair yours. Thom is always happy to help solve your eyecare needs!
	Buzz Todd Buzz has extensive knowledge in the optical field. Through education programs and training he stays current on the latest in Lens design and technology. Buzz has the ability to help you find the frames and lenses that will work best for your lifestyle needs. He also has the expertise to fix any problem you may be having with your glasses.
	Jana Edghill, CPOA Jana was born and raised in Ord. She has a husband, Alan, and three children. Jana is a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. She has been working for Professional Eyecare for three years. Jana is the front desk team leader. She is responsible for meeting and greeting patients, gathering patient information, answering the phone, and making appointments.
	Christine Simon, CPOA Christine grew up in Burwell. She graduated from Mid Plains Community College with a degree in Optometric Assisting in 1983. She has worked in the optical field for 11 years. Christine recently became a Certified Paraoptometric. She has experience with contact lenses, eyeglass frames and new lens technology. Christine's hobbies include reading and spending time with her family. She has a son Jeremy. Jeremy and his wife Andrea have four daughters, Faith, Hannah, Kylee, and Katelynn.
	Randi Wiese Randi grew up in Ord and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Human Relations from Doane College. Randi is an Optician in the Ord office. She is happy to assist you in picking a frame and lens design that fits your vision and style.
	Jennifer Pokorny, CPOA Jennifer grew up in Ord. She has a little boy, Jericho, and loves spending time with her family. Jennifer is a Certified Paraoptometric and works in the Ord office. She is the contact lens team leader for Professional Eyecare. Jennifer is currently furthering her education in business and accounting at CCC.
	Becky Valla, CPOA Becky grew up in Ord. She is married with four children. Becky graduated from Ord High School in 1979. She attended and graduated from the Omaha College of Health Careers as a Medical Assistant in 1981. While living in North Carolina, she worked on the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, as a department secretary in the emergency room for four years. After moving back to Ord in 2003, Becky accepted a position at Professional Eyecare in 2005. She recently passed the Certified Paraoptometric Assistant Exam. Becky is the clinic team leader and ancillary testing specialist.
	Michelle Bruha, CPO Michelle and her husband, James, farm west of Ord. They have two children, Ashley and Tye. Michelle's background includes medical, financial, and insurance industry experience. Michelle is a Certified Paraoptometric and works in the optical department at Professional Eyecare.
	Michelle (Shelley) Sheldon, CPOA Shelley grew up in Ord. She obtained a lisense in Nebraska as a Cosmetology Instructor and also to practice cosmetology. She owned and operated a successful corporation for 17 years before joining the team at Professional Eyecare. Shelley is the Quality Control Specialist and handles the insurance at our office. She is Married to Kevin and has two children McKenna and Tyler.
	Joanne Wells Joanne grew up in the area. She currently lives in North Loup with her husband, Nathan, and three children. Joanne has been coaching basketball and track in North Loup for the past few years.
